• Played his first Quins game as prop forward in the 1954/55 season as a young 17 year old away at Cwmavon
• Joined the Air Force in 1957 and played for the Quins when home on leave.
• Later went to Trinity College and again turned out regularly for the Quins
• Went to teach in London and on returning in 1963 became a regular choice as prop forward
• Played his last game for the Quins on the 6th September 1969. Sadly we do not have the records to confirm exactly how many games David played for the 1st XV but it would certainly be in excess of a 100 games.
