QUINS 1st XV PLAYERS WITH OVER 100 APPEARANCES

KEITH LEWIS

200 + APPEARANCES

We have no records for the time Keith played for the Quins 1st XV but having been an ever present during his eight seasons (1958/59—1965/66) we can be sure he would have played in excess of 200 games. Keith has yet to be presented with his 200 + appearances tie.

PLAYING RECORD

  • Keith was an established centre during his Grammar School and Quins Youth XV days but followed another great Whitemill product (Gwyn Davies) in being recognised as the Quins first choice 1st XV scrum-half. Keith remained as first choice scrum-half for seven seasons between 1958 & 1964.
  • Keith played for several seasons alongside his first cousins. They were brothers Derek Lewis (Outside -Half) and Tudor Lewis (Right Wing, all three Whitemill boys.
  • Keith’s last game for the Quins 1st XV was at centre against Glais at the Park on the 23rd October 1965.

NOTE:

The Quins played against a Whitemill XV in the 1947/48 season and this small village also managed to turn out a successful Youth XV.
