Season 2025-26 of Super Rygbi Cymru saw Carmarthen Quins reach the quarter-finals stage, bowing out to Cardiff RFC.
Having secured victories over every team in Super Rygbi Cymru, apart from Bridgend where the final result was a draw, Quins showed much improvement on the previous season.
Looking ahead to the opening round of the 2026-27 SRC season, Quins Director of Rugby Steff Thomas said; “It was a much better season for us last year, beating every team bar Bridgend was a big step forward for us as a club.
“We feel stable going into the new season with the addition of fresh talent coming in as well.”
Not content with resting on their laurels, Carmarthen Quins will be raring to go come the opening round on Saturday, September 12, prepared to welcome Cardiff to Carmarthen Park.
Thomas went on to say: “Make no bones, we are fully aware that it’s a hugely competitive league this year and the most competitive I’ve seen in my time involved in the Prem and SRC.
“I genuinely think every team can beat everybody. You have to be at your best every single game to do well come the business end of the season.”
