With two games left of the Premiership Cup the Quins will be looking to give a good account of themselves away at the difficult ground of Aberavon, the iconic Talbot Athletic Ground.
Quins sneaked a win against Swansea in the park last time out winning 24-21 while Aberavon kept up their play off credentials by dispatching Bridgend 36 – 15. With both Aberavon and Llandovery in the semi final spots the Quins could do their Towy Valley neighbours a favour by getting the W in Aberavon with both sides due to play each other next week at Church Bank.
However, it is never about other teams with the Quins they will be keen to get a win on the road and pay back the faith shown by the loyal Quins supporters. With one defeat at home to Aberavon the Quins will want to channel the spirit of 2019 when they went to the Talbot Athletic Ground and ran out winners 34 – 29 in an exciting contest where both sides went to play rugby.
For the Quins it will be a case of looking to the future beyond the next two games in the Cup and the different challenges a league format throws up. Although we use the term league loosely as due to the COVID restrictions we will only play each team once but again these will be different challenges from different teams.
This week is also Anti Bullying Week and to raise awareness the Quins squad will this evening be wearing odd socks. Remember bullying is unacceptable at any level and we should all be kind to one another and one kind word goes a long way.
