General Update

As we head into the summer holidays some of our mini and junior teams have taken a break from training before returning in late August for more fun times on their rugby journey wearing the mighty Cardinal, Amber and Black. The mini and junior committee have worked hard to ensure a safe environment in training and playing for the previously registered players but have also ensured that new players have been welcomed in to the fold. There are some spaces across the age groups (although some are very limited) and if you have a child who would like to try rugby then please get in touch via cqrfcsocialmedia@gmail.com or send us a message on Facebook or Twitter and we can put you in the right direction.

It is a thriving section that teaches children not only rugby skills but important life skills like communication, confidence, teamwork and respect.

As we have mentioned previously due to the newly introduced age rules in Youth rugby our former Under 16’s coaches have stepped up to take over the youth training and they are on the look out for players to join their young and exciting team who are hopefully on the final stretch to becoming future Mighty Quins. They commence training on 3rd August but if you are interested then contact either Gary on 07855769744 or Cen on 07786373697 and they would be happy to talk you through the arrangements.

The club is also working hard in resurrecting the Second XV and training for this is held on a Wednesday night. So if you are new to the area and want to get back to rugby or want to give it a try for the first time then again use the contact details above and we would love to hear from you.

We will bring you news on the 1st XV as soon as we can in the not so distant future.

The clubhouse is now open on a regular basis and with the Lions tour coming to the exciting climax of the test series against South Africa space at the club will be at a premium so you will need to book tables in advance either by ringing the club or messaging the Carmarthen Quins Club Sports and Social Facebook page. Once the tables have gone they’re gone.

Also as restrictions have eased and continue to ease the clubhouse is available to be booked for private functions in lines with the current government guidance. If you think we can help you  then please contact the club on 01267 234778 and we will discuss your requirements.

We also urge you all to stay safe and protect yourselves as well as others. As restrictions change we will let you know how the this affects the club,
