Job Description: Non-Executive Director at Carmarthen Quins RFC

About Us
Carmarthen Quins Rugby Football Club (RFC) is a historic and proud club with firmly established community ties that thrives on sporting excellence, teamwork, and commitment both on and off the field. We believe that diversity drives innovation and strength, and we are dedicated to building an inclusive community that reflects the rich diversity of our society.

We run teams from Under 7 to Under 18’s  in the community game, and a Senior Men’s team who compete in the Super Rygbi Cymru competition in the professional side of the game in Wales.

Role Overview:
We are seeking dynamic and visionary individuals to join our Board of Directors as Non-Executive Directors. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic Business direction and governance of Carmarthen Quins RFC. Successful candidates will support our mission and objectives of continued development of our resources and facilities, and securing long term financial stability and sustainability to ensure growth at the heart of our community.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide strategic leadership and insight to the club’s Executive Board.
– Contribute to the development and implementation of the club’s strategic objectives.
– Advise on governance, compliance, and risk management.
– Promote the club’s values and ethos within the community.
– Support and guide the executive team to achieve the club’s objectives.
– Attend board meetings and contribute effectively to decision-making processes.
– Champion inclusivity and diversity within the club and its activities.

Essential Criteria:
– A strong commitment to the values and goals of Carmarthen Quins RFC.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to think strategically and contribute to long-term Business planning.
– High ethical standards and integrity.
– A willingness to dedicate time and effort to the role.

Desired Skills and Experience:
– Experience in one or more of the following areas: Business development, finance, marketing, law, human resources and community engagement.
– Prior board experience or leadership roles in community organizations (preferred but not necessary).
No prior knowledge or experience of rugby is required, however an interest would be desirable.
