On Friday 14th February 2025 representatives of Carmarthen Quins RFC attended the Prostate Cymru Blue Tie Ball at the Vale Resort.
This is a prestigious annual event attended by survivors of prostate cancer, numerous fundraisers and volunteers across the private and public sectors.
The Club was nominated for the Community Fundraiser of the year award based on the support provided by the club to events and meetings organised by the local Prostate Cymru trustees.
Whilst the club narrowly missed out on the award in question, we are extremely proud to announce that the President of Carmarthen RFC, Brian Jones MBE, was presented with ‘The Presidents Special Recognition Award’ for his outstanding support and services to Prostate Cymru.
The presentation of the award was preceded by a short visual recording of a previous event attended by Brian at the Gwili Railway. It was evident that neither Brian, nor his wife Helen, had absolutely any idea he was about to receive the special recognition from Prostate Cymru, so his face was a picture!
Congratulations Brian, another well deserved award that you should rightly be proud to receive.
