Sponsor Spotlight

Our next instalment of sponsor spotlight features a number of sponsors who have kindly sponsored our senior side but also this week we have included some who have supported some of our mini and junior teams.

Greenfields Holiday Park

With today’s Welsh Government announcement that self contained accommodation is set to reopen this weekend we thought it timely to thank one of our shirt sponsors Greenfields Holiday Park.

Located 3 miles from the outstanding sea front village of Llangrannog in Ceredigion. It has facilities for Statics, Tourers and tents. There is an Indoor Heated swimming pool, 4 acre playing fields, Club with restaurant and takeaway and a course fishing lake.

Set in 16 acres of beautiful landscaped grounds overlooking the valley and countryside.

Greenfields Holiday Park is just minutes away from some fantastic beaches and coastal villages in the heart of West Wales.

I am sure after the year everyone has had some R and R at Greenfields would be just what the doctor ordered.

Those of you who have a caravan or motorhome then you can get on site now and those of us with tents will have to wait a little while longer although we know the wait will be worth it.

Check out their website for booking information. We thank you very much for the support you have given us and we hope that this weeks announcement is the start of our very own recovery process from the pandemic. Pob Lwc

Oil 4 Wales is a family run welsh business that continues to grow. Established by a rugby fanatic Colin Owens its now run with the help of wife Shirley, daughter Sally and son Paul. We are delighted to be associated with Colin and his company and were excited with the newly refurbished premises at Nantycaws aptly named Holloll Cymraeg.

With filling stations one part of the business they also offer services for the home including boilers, heating oil and farm fuel they pride themselves on their welsh roots. They have a number of ambassadors to champion the brand including Max Boyce, Ken Owens and north walian farmer and star of BBC one show The Farm, Gareth Wyn Jones.

Community is at the heart of the company and they support many community organisations or events such as Medserve Wales, many rugby clubs across Wales (where they admit their future ambassadors will come from), and an annual tractor run that raises money for Marie Curie and children who have lost their parents.

We thank Colin and his family for their kind support and we hope that this will continue long in to the future and we wish you well with continuous development of a good welsh company. Diolch o Galon.

New York Welsh

Our final sponsor of the day has an international flavour. A chance tweet from Under 11’s coach Neil started a conversation that resulted in a new set of shirts for our then girls Under 15’s team. As it’s name suggests New York Welsh is based in the mighty city of New York and boasts many members including Ty Francis MBE, his wife Alayna, John Lyle, Gwilym Roberts-Harry, Bryn Roberts-Harry and Ieuan Roberts-Harry who all clubbed together to purchase the shirts.

Neil met with Ty and John back in January 2020 for the official presentation of the shirts. John who hails from Carmarthen spoke of his hiraeth when he is in New York and Ty who comes from Tenby spoke of his delight in sponsoring the shirts. New York Welsh are no strange to sponsoring rugby as they already sponsor the South Pembs Sharks girls rugby team and the Dragons Allstars a mixed ability rugby team based in the Dragons region.

A replica of the shirt is not only owned by those who kindly sponsored but also sits proudly in the club room at the Liberty NYC. If any of our supporters visit New York then be sure to visit where we are assured you will be given a warm welcome.

Ty has established a platform to help clubs find sponsors, SponsorOurClub connects Welsh diaspora and philanthropic individuals with regional female football and rugby teams accredited by the FAW and WRU, and mixed ability teams across Wales in need of financial support.

Founded  in 2018, the initiative finds sponsorship and funding for teams in Wales from around the world via  New York Welsh  and other global diaspora networks.

Thank you so much for your support and we hope that when it is allowed you can visit and see the girls in action under their new guise of Carmarthen Rebels.
