Sponsor Spotlight Week 3

Davies and Craddock

Davies Craddock, local Estate Agents, Insurance Brokers and Financial Service Experts, has been a part of the community for over 40 years with offices in Llanelli and Carmarthen. From humble beginnings, Nigel Davies and David Craddock began trading in February 1978, just over 40 years ago, with just one part-time employee.

They quickly became a strong partnership, who traded primarily as Personal and Commercial Insurance Brokers, but also offering themselves as Estate Agents and Financial Advisers.

Steady growth continued and in 1986 they purchased the business known as C G ACE, Son and James, a well-established local Estate Agent, whose principal was Mr John James.  The firm expanded its trading name to Davies Craddock Ace and James (DCAJ), however in 1999 when John James retired the name reverted to Davies Craddock.

Nigel and David have continued to grow the business with many acquisitions, the most recent being HLW Insurance Brokers of Carmarthen, which expanded their customer-base and increased the staff number to 35.

With a raft of services on offer we hope that our supporters can take a look at the company that has been so kind in sponsoring Carmarthen Quins and give something back in return.

Morgan and Morgan Total Office Solutions

Morgan and Morgan is an expanding, family-owned business situated on the outskirts of Crosshands in Carmarthenshire, South West Wales.

Established in 1989, the company has continued to grow and develop as it seeks to meet the ever increasing needs of local businesses in the area of Information Technology and Total Office Solutions.

The services Morgan and Morgan offer to local businesses are document solutions through managed print services tailored for each business, Office interiors, IT and Networking solutions and general office supplies.

With many businesses having to adapt during the last year Morgan and Morgan have been a driving force in assisting these adaptations and this will continue as the business world evolves as we hopefully continue to move to a recovery stage.

All at the Quins are extremely grateful for your kind sponsorship and we hope this will continue in to the future.

Emlyn Hotel, Gellifawr Woodland Retreat, Cawdor Cars

Our next sponsor has been a long time supporter of the Quins and we are extremely grateful for the association. We were extremely lucky for several years to have our first XV shirts sponsored by Cawdor Cars and their name was proudly displayed. In recent years the support has continued while Kevin has expanded his business interests to include the Emlyn Hotel in Newcastle Emlyn and the Gellifawr Woodland Retreat in Fishguard, both of which are rightly described as luxurious.

During the last year it has been a difficult year for all including the businesses mentioned, but with light at the end of the tunnel we wish them every success in the future.

If any of our supporters need a new car then there are many great deals at the Catherine Street branch in Carmarthen or in the other dealerships in Aberystwyth, Llanelli, Llanybydder, Cardigan and of course Newcastle Emlyn. As well as car sales they have an excellent aftersales service also.

As we know self contained accommodation is set to reopen in Wales for Welsh residents shortly and what could be better than a break at either the Emlyn Hotel or Gellifawr Woodland Retreat with relaxing areas within the vicinity and fine dining (within the current Government Guidelines). We are sure that many of our supporters would welcome a night or two away to forget the horrendous year we have had and you do not have to look any further than these two locations.

As we all know Kevin is father of current Welsh Rugby International Gareth Davies who we had the delight of including in a team for one game during the 2008/2009 season where he also scored a try. We sincerely hope Gareth can get a try for Wales on Saturday and bring home the Grand Slam.

Thank you Kevin for your support over the years and we hope this can continue in the future.

Again as we say every week without the kind support and sponsorship if businesses whether local or national businesses it helps us run the club and remain at the highest domestic rugby level in Wales. More importantly though it helps create an environment where the next generation of players will come from, who knows we may already have the next Gareth Davies in our junior ranks as we speak. Diolch o galon I pawb sy’n cefnogi’r ni fel clwb, Thank you so much to everyone who sponsors us as a club.

If anyone is interested in sponsoring us going forward then please do not hesitate to contact the club. You can send an initial inquiry to cqrfcsocialmedia@gmail.com and we will pass this on to the relevant committee member who will get back to you.

Finally as we see restrictions lifting we urge our supporters to continue to follow the current Government guidance so that that hard work of the last three months and the work before that is not undone and it takes longer for us to get back together. Stay Safe / Gadw yn Diogel
